In partnership with the Highlands Garden Club, the Highlands Borough Arts Council presents The Art of Coastal Gardening: Turning Water Into Resource. Led by Mary Paist-Goldman of Rippled Water Engineering, this workshop will explore the art of capturing rain to transform your garden into a beautiful eco-friendly, water-efficient space!

You will learn:

  • Rain Barrels: How to collect and use rainwater to reduce consumption

  • Rain Gardens: Create a garden with manages stormwater while supporting local ecosystems

  • Living Shorelines: Protect and stabilize coastal areas with native plants and natural materials

  • Drough-tolerant gardens: Artfully design a thriving garden using minimal water and maintenance

Mary Paist-Goldman: Rippled Waters Engineering, LLC is a woman-owned business specializing in ecological restoration and green infrastructure. Led by Ms. Mary Paist-Goldman, RWE focuses on stormwater management, living shorelines, stream restoration, dam removals, and wetland mitigation.
