Stone sculpture is the oldest, continuously practiced art medium, stretching back over 30,000 years, and spanning almost every culture. While we can see many stone object in our art and architecture, the techniques used to shape this beautiful and durable material are less well known. This presentation will survey the practice of sculpting stone, its tools, and techniques from ancient times to present day.

Social hour begins at 6 pm with food and drinks for purchase served until 7. The presentation and Q&A are from 7-8pm.
