Workshop Overview
This hands-on workshop introduces participants to blind contour drawing, a technique that enhances artistic confidence, observational skills, and expressive mark-making. Whether you are a seasoned artist looking to develop a more natural, organic drawing style or someone hoping to loosen up your approach to drawing, this workshop will guide you in cultivating a more intuitive and exploratory art practice.
By removing the pressure of achieving “perfect” drawings, this exercise fosters a sense of presence, patience, and creative problem-solving—valuable skills that can extend beyond the sketchbook.
Target Audience
This workshop is meant to be a creative offering for the local Veteran community. However, anyone interested in cultivating a creative practice, embracing the therapeutic value of creativity, trying something new, and connecting with others in a shared creative space may sign up. No prior art experience is required—just an open mind and a willingness to explore new ways of seeing and drawing.
