The Atlantic Highlands Arts Council is pleased to offer this special Arts Trek event - a day trip to Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ on Saturday June 17th.
The site, founded by artist-philanthropist Seward Johnson, showcases sculptures from throughout the world in a 42-acre park and arboretum. Works range from modernist to re-creations of classic impressionist paintings. Current rotating exhibits include a celebration of the Johnson family's life and work (outdoors) and "Local Voices: Memories, Stories and Portraits" in an indoor gallery.
Participants must be 18 or older. Cost: $85 for Arts Council members, $95 for non-members, including transportation and admission. Lunch is at your own expense. On-site dining options include Van Gogh Cafe, a casual eatery (credit cards only); or Rat's, a formal French restaurant, where reservations are recommended by calling (609) 584-7800. No outside food or dinks (other than water) is allowed.
Our motor coach will depart, rain or shine, at 9 a.m. sharp from the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council, 54 First Ave., Atlantic Highlands, with return to the same location at approximately 5 p.m.
